Dermatologist-Led Pigmentation Solutions

Melasma and hyperpigmentation are complex dermatological concerns characterized by dark, irregular patches on the skin, typically triggered by UV radiation, hormonal fluctuations (such as pregnancy or contraceptive use), and genetic predisposition. Unlike a temporary sun tan, melasma involves overactive melanocytes (pigment-producing cells) depositing excess melanin deep in both the epidermal and dermal layers of the skin.

At Razelia Healthcare, our board-certified dermatologists design customized depigmentation protocols. By combining advanced clinical treatments with high-potency medical homecare, we target melanin production at its cellular source, break down stubborn pigment deposits, and restore your skin's natural, even-toned radiance.

COMMON CONCERNS

Pigmentation Treatment FAQ

Melasma is primarily triggered by UV radiation (sun exposure), hormonal shifts (such as pregnancy, thyroid issues, or oral contraceptive use), and genetics. While there is no instant permanent cure, melasma can be successfully managed, lightened, and controlled with our advanced laser toning, custom peels, and strict sun protection.

Most patients start seeing a visible improvement in skin tone after 3 to 4 sessions. However, for moderate to deep melasma, a full course of 6 to 8 sessions spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart is usually recommended for optimal, long-lasting clearance.

Our Q-switched laser toning has absolutely zero downtime, allowing you to resume your daily routine immediately. Brightening chemical peels may cause mild flaking or pinkness for 2-3 days, which is a normal part of skin rejuvenation and easily managed with prescribed barrier creams.

Extremely crucial. Since pigment-producing cells (melanocytes) remain highly sensitive, even brief exposure to sunlight or cooking heat can trigger pigment rebound. Applying broad-spectrum SPF 50+ every 3-4 hours and using prescribed homecare serums is mandatory to sustain results.
